The Braille and Audio Feature Pack transforms your ALVA BC640 base unit into more than just a Braille display. Adding the Feature Pack extends the usefulness and functionality of the ALVA BC640. You can take notes, store documents, enter 8-dot computer Braille, or American Grade Two Braille into any computer application. And the on-board Grade Two back translator instantly converts words typed in Braille into standard text without the need for third-party translation utilities. Plus when used in conjunction with a SmartPhone* you’ll have all the capabilities and more of a traditional notetaker. You can send text messages, surf the web, or use Skype with the built-in microphone. And with Bluetooth wireless audio, and the flanking stereo speakers, you can listen to the screen reader and computer audio, including MP3’s, directly in front of you, untethered by wires.
