How do I install Talks and Zooms Software?
Installation Notes for TALKS for Series 60 only
The installation of TALKS and ZOOMS can vary slightly between different handsets and versions of Nokia PC Suite. These instructions are meant as a general guide. You should refer to the documentation for your specific phone model and version of PC Suite for additional details. If this is the first time you are performing an installation it is recommended to have sighted assistance.
Before beginning:
- Ensure that the date and time are set correctly on your phone. You will also need to know where key1 and key 2 are on your phone, also known as the left soft key and right soft key.
- Install Nokia PC on your computer. If your phone did not come with this software on a CD you can download it from www.nokiausa.com.
- Download the TALKS installation files and unzip them. You can download the installation files from our website by selecting here.
Installation:
- Establish a connection between your phone and your PC using Nokia PC Suite. You will have the option to connect by USB data cable or Bluetooth. If you are unfamiliar with how to establish a connection, please refer to the documentation for Nokia PC Suite. We recommend using the USB data cable.
- Open Nokia PC Suite and select the Application Installer. In the drop-down box select the first file to install. (If you are installing on a second generation handset, you must install a TTS first. The TTS is the voice, such as Eloquence or RealSpeak. If you are installing on a third generation handset you may install the files in any order.) Select the button for Install. The computer will transfer the file to the phone handset and a prompt will say “Please finish the installation on the phone user interface.”
